High School Diploma and at least one year towards Bachelor degree (B. S.) in Chemistry or Biology; minimum one year of job experience. Completed first year of general chemistry.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be highly organized, analytical, accurate and detail oriented. Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team.
The ability to maintain confidential information in an appropriate manner is essential, as is an ability to use judgment in the wording and inclusion of pertinent and sensitive information.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
